 Storyboard:


(Extra idea - when Richard goes to open door he starts to walk upstairs, either blinks or raise his head and he's outside then when walking up the street, looks down then up and he's even further; looks left and then when he looks right he is in a new location where he finally follows the figure and the story goes back to normal)

Script:
Opening - INT. RICHARD'S LIVING ROOM - DAY
Richard's sat on his old living room chair gazing out of the window

INT. RICHARD'S LIVING ROOM - NIGHT
His carer comes in to give him a meal as he still stares out the window regardless of the fact he can't see anything due to it being night time

INT. HALL OF HOUSE - NIGHT
All in one take. Richard walks out of the dark living room into the hall with the stairs and front door. 
He gradually gets to the door, looking over his shoulder watching the doorknob closely.
As he comes back to reality, he starts to walk upstairs

INT. BEDROOM - NIGHT
Richard makes his way into bed and sleeps

(These scenes repeat multiple times to show how repetitive his life is)

INT. RICHARD'S LIVING ROOM - NIGHT
Skips day goes straight into night time. Richard looking out his window about to get up to go to bed.

INT. HALL OF HOUSE - NIGHT
He walks out the living room, struggling to navigate the dark hallway until he finds the light switch.
As he makes his way to the door he stares at the doorknob contemplating leaving.
He starts to walk upstairs with his head down with an over the shoulder shot.

EXT. OUTSIDE HOUSE - NIGHT
Raises head from the stairs to a cut outside with an over the shoulder shot
He sees a silhouette in the distance; doesn't know where he is so Richard decides to follow the figure.

EXT. ON STREET - NIGHT
Richard loses the figure when it walks around the corner of the street. Richard forgets about it and keeps walking.
He turns the corner and there is no figure to be seen.
He gradually turns around as it is a dead end, only to be greeted with the disfigured face of the silhouette.

BLANK SCREEN

INT. RICHARD'S LIVING ROOM - DAY
Richard, having no recollection of what just happened, is sat in his usual chair. 
The figure slowly walks past the window scaring Richard beyond belief.

Ending - BLANK SCREEN
