Legal and ethical issues are identified and resolved for the planned production (M2)
Shooting Location Tech Scouting Checklist:
These legal documents required me to fill out a questionnaire on multiple topics like Story, Sight, Sound etc. There are different legal issues with this like different hazards such as cars and other people. I have ensured that there will be no hazards or issues with the creation of the film by only filming and having the cast out when it is safe. I will also brief the cast to make sure they know which potential hazards could arise. Copyright could potentially be an issue if a car drives past playing copyright music, I will then have to restart that scene most likely which is my solution.
Film Risk Assessment Form:
In this document I have discussed potential risks during the production and pre-production. However, I have come up with solutions to all of these hazards like medical conditions, weather exposure and the risk factor of them happening is now low. The solutions will protect the cast, including myself, as they will be briefed on what they need to do to stay safe. Another hazard is tripping over wires whilst recording my film. The legal issues of these hazards are that if they were to get hurt physically or mentally they may want to sue but since they have signed their form they have taken responsibility therefore not being able to sue.
Location Release Form for Filming:
In this document I have discussed the permissions to have access to the premises so that I can film on the location I want to. It shows that I have been granted permission by the grantor. If I did not have permission to film and be on the location I require; it would be both a legal and ethical issue as I would be trespassing on the premises, as it is both legal and immoral because I would be going against the law and disregarding the owner's rules. Having done this form there should be no legal or ethical issues to worry about.
Rights Release Form for Actors:
In this document, all my actors have signed their forms and I own their physical likeness in my film "He Never Forgot". Since, they have signed this form; they cannot come back after the production process and tell me they don't want to be in it anymore as they have already signed the form and I own all of the pre-production, production and post-production. The actors have also agreed to the schedule, filming process and any other physical likeness they have in this film.
Music and Sound:
I will be using royalty-free music and/or my own music and sound effects so I do not get copyrighted.
Imagery:
All imagery will be created by me and/or using free imagery so I do not get copyrighted by anyone.
Ethical Issues:
I will create a disclaimer for my film as dementia may be a sensitive subject. I also have multiple genders in my film however, since there are few actors; I have employed people of the same ethnicity. Ages are also appropriate as they fit the film correctly.
